Our Vision
How it Began
Ally Knoll, the founder and designer behind Deinhardt Designs, has decorated her path in life with hoof prints since the age of 5. From the moment she took her first strides in the saddle, Ally's heart was forever entwined with the equine world, a connection that would shape her journey in the most profound ways.
Her equestrian journey found its roots at a local lesson barn in Maine, where she grew up immersed in the spirit of the sport-- and the spirit of being a self-proclaimed "barn rat." After dabbling in showjumping and eventing, Ally eventually settled into her rightful zone as a self-proclaimed dressage queen. It was during this same time that Ally spent formative years working at a local mom-and-pop tack shop, where her passion for horses and the equestrian industry began to grow.
After graduating high school, Ally's desire to define her life by her commitment to the equine world led her to the University of New Hampshire, where she obtained a B.S. in Equine Studies with a focused concentration in Industry and Management. While at UNH, her equestrian spirit found a home within the Intercollegiate Dressage Association Team, and she set her sights on achieving her USDF Bronze Medal.
Following graduation, Ally spent a winter season at Warren-McMullin Dressage in Wellington, a period that broadened her horizons and added depth to her equine repertoire. It was here that she met Deinhardt-- the one and the only-- her heart horse whose name Deinhardt Designs carries.
After the winter season, Ally returned to her now home state of Massachusetts, where she accepted the role of Assistant Trainer at a sales barn. Though her time in this role was undoubtedly valuable and formative to her training skillset, an unfortunate riding injury required that Ally revisit her connection to other facets of the industry. This led her to work with several esteemed equestrian brands, traversing both the retail and manufacturing realms, while continuously shaping her expertise.
Today, Ally has her own dressage training program, AK Dressage by Design, LLC in southeast Massachusetts. Through this venture, Ally's holistic approach offers a spectrum of services, from lessons and coaching to equine physical and behavioral rehabilitation, all underpinned by a commitment to excellence and empathy.
Ally has spent the last two years as a Territory Manager for a manufacturer, and in doing so met many incredible industry members who inspired her to seek new ways to uplift the industry she has always called home.
With this desire at heart, Ally expanded her horizons to encompass brand management and consultation. Reflecting her innate creativity, she embraced logo and graphic design, crafting a new dimension to her offerings under the banner of AK Dressage by Design, LLC.
It was within this new, unbridled expression of her true passions that Ally's determination to use her creativity and experience in multiple industry sectors to bring growth to the equestrian community grew. This drive, coupled with the respect and gratitude she has for the businesses that uphold the equine industry, inspired Ally to channel her passions into a brand of her own-- And thus, Deinhardt Designs was born.
Ally is a firm believer that the same values that shape our own personalities and code of ethics should also shape that of our business. She places utmost priority on honesty, ethical business practices, and fostering community and collaboration amongst industry members.
Her aim in creating Deinhardt Designs is to create a new venue for retailers, consumers, and community members to deepen their connections to each other, to the industry, to their horses, and to themselves.
As is reflected in the Core Values, Mission, and Promise behind Deinhardt Designs, Ally is committed to upholding business practices that foster growth of the equine industry by uplifting our dealers, engaging consumers, and inspiring a desire to connect and collaborate.
