MAP POLICY

MINIMUM ADVERTISED PRICE (MAP) POLICY

INTRODUCTION

Deinhardt Designs is committed to protecting its brand reputation, the value of its products, and the interests of its authorized dealers. To maintain a consistent brand image and ensure a fair marketplace for our products, we have established this Minimum Advertised Price (MAP) Policy. This policy outlines the minimum advertised price for select products and sets forth guidelines for advertising these products.

POLICY GUIDELINES

  • Covered Products: This MAP Policy applies to all products offered by Deinhardt Designs.
  • Minimum Advertised Price: The Minimum Advertised Price for covered products is shown in detail on our website, www.deinhardtdesigns.com.
  • 120-Day MAP Protection Window: All new product launches will be protected under MAP for the first 120 days (4 months) after their official release. 
    • If the release of a product is delayed for any reason, so would be the MAP Lift date.
    • If a product is restocked, it is possible that we will extend the MAP Protection period so retailers can safely reinvest in a popular product.
      • Any changes to scheduled MAP Lifts will be communicated via email.
  • Advertising Guidelines: Authorized dealers may not advertise covered products below the specified Minimum Advertised Price.
    • Advertising includes all forms of communication, whether print, electronic, online, social media, or any other medium.
    • The MAP Policy applies to both public and private communications (if said private communications are visible to the public in any way) intended for end-users, customers, and resellers.
  • Discounts and Coupons: Dealers are NOT allowed to advertise discounts and coupons that lower the actual selling price below the MAP, unless it is an applicable product during a scheduled/authorized MAP Lift.  Discount codes and site-wide sales are considered acceptable IF the price of Deinhardt Designs products remains at full MAP and no advertising, media, or public communication names Deinhardt Designs as a participant within the sale.
  • In-Store and/or Private Dealings: The actual selling price of the product cannot be restricted by this MAP Policy, as long as the final sale price or avenue(s) required to obtain a lower price are not advertised or shared publicly in any way. 

MAP & OUR DIRECT WEBSITE

  • As always, Deinhardt Designs does not participate in MAP Lift events on our direct-to-consumer site:

    • We do not offer sitewide markdowns or sales, even when a product is on MAP Lift - That is reserved for our retailers only.

    • Whenever possible, we partner with our retail partners to move excess/outdated inventory in order to uphold this - With that said, in the rare case that a product has been in stock for greater than 270 days, we reserve the right to mark it down on our direct website in a discreet manner, or via email release ONLY. 

    • Because we offer such a strict pricing policy to protect our retailers & the value of the brand, it is incredibly important to us that our MAP Policy is strictly adhered to. We are reinforcing our MAP enforcement across all platforms to make sure our brand integrity is upheld, and our retailers always feel protected and valued.  

AUTHORIZED MAP LIFTS

  • Scheduled MAP Lifts: We recognize the need for flexibility in pricing to support retailers during specific promotional periods. As such, we will implement scheduled MAP lifts at designated times throughout the year. MAP lifts will be communicated in advance to all authorized retailers and will include:
    • Specific products eligible for the MAP lift.
    • The MAP Lift amount (if applicable).
    • The timeframe during which the MAP Lift is in effect.
  • Scheduled MAP Lift dates will be set and shared in advance, giving you the ability to plan your sales, promotions, and marketing around them. These will be included in future line sheets and retailer emails.
    • As per our policy, Map Lift dates are set at approximately 120 days after the initial release of a product - If the release of a product is delayed for any reason, so would be the MAP Lift date.
    • Furthermore, if a product is restocked, it is possible that we will extend the MAP Protection period so retailers can safely reinvest in a popular product.
  • Any changes to scheduled MAP Lifts will be communicated via email.

ENFORCEMENT

Deinhardt Designs reserves the right to monitor advertised prices of covered products.

Violations of this MAP Policy will result in corrective action, which may include, but is not limited to, a warning, temporary suspension of product shipments, or termination of the dealer relationship.

POLICY UPDATES

Deinhardt Designs reserves the right to modify or terminate this MAP Policy at any time and will notify retailers of any changes and the implementation date in writing via email communication.
